Brazil 70 – The Third Star

São Paulo, February 25, 2026 – Netflix today releases the first images from Brazil 70, a fiction miniseries that portrays the Brazilian national team’s campaign on the way to their third World Cup title in 1970. In addition to the photos, an exclusive video introduces Lucas Agrícola, Rodrigo Santoro and Bruno Mazzeo in character as Pelé, Saldanha and Zagallo, respectively. Fans in the stands will cheer as they recognize figures such as Tostão (Ravel Andrade), Félix (Hugo Haddad), Carlos Alberto (Caio Cabral), Jairzinho (Gui Ferraz), Gérson (Fillipe Soutto) and Rivellino (Daniel Blanco) in this winning lineup. Produced by Netflix in partnership with O2 Filmes, the miniseries will premiere later this year.

The miniseries will immersively recreate classic plays and behind-the-scenes moments that helped build the legacy of one of the greatest soccer teams of all time. It offers a deep dive into the challenges, emotions and fears that accompanied the Brazilian team during their preparation for and participation in the 1970 World Cup. The story unfolds during one of the most remarkable periods in both Brazilian soccer and political history, amid the harshest phase of the military regime, while the team displays its genius on the pitch under immense pressure to represent an entire country.

General direction is by Paulo Morelli and Pedro Morelli, with episodes also directed by Quico Meirelles. The series was created by Naná Xavier and Rafael Dornellas. Production is also led by Paulo Morelli and Pedro Morelli, alongside Cris Abi, with Guto Gontijo as executive producer. Felipe Sant’Angelo shares final scriptwriting credits with Naná Xavier. The cast also includes Marcelo Adnet (Eusébio Teixeira), Bruna Mascarenhas (Rosemeri), Maicon Rodrigues (Paulo Cézar Caju), Val Perré (Mário Américo), Lara Tremouroux (Rosa), Felipe Frazão (Leo), Victor Salomão (Dadá Maravilha) and José Beltrão (Parreira).
