Virgil Films and IndieCan Entertainment have acquired North American rights to “She Was Here,” a feature documentary examining the life of Heather O’Rourke, the child actor who starred in the “Poltergeist” trilogy before her death at age 12.
The film will launch on VOD and digital platforms Feb. 24, with Kino Lorber handling DVD distribution the same day. The documentary arrives in what would have been O’Rourke’s 50th year.
Directed by Brian Pocrass and Nick Bailey, the project was developed with complete participation from O’Rourke’s family members, who appear throughout the film. Producers are Reese Eveneshen and Avi Federgreen…
