Jack Whitehall Announced As Next Host Of Snl Uk

Saturday Night Live UK today announces its next host and musical guest. On 11 April, award-winning comedian and actor Jack Whitehall (The ‘Burbs, Jungle Cruise) will be joined by modern soul icon Jorja Smith. The series will then take a one-week hiatus, returning for the first of four more episodes on 25 April.

Live from London at 10pm on a Saturday night, each 75-minute episode sees a different host take to the stage alongside SNL UK’s inaugural cast: Hammed AnimashaunAyoade BamgboyeLarry DeanCeleste DringGeorge FouracresAnia MaglianoAnnabel MarlowAl NashJack ShepEmma Sidi and Paddy Young.

As previously announced, this Saturday’s show will be hosted by Academy Award-winning British actor Riz Ahmed, joined by titans of rock Kasabian.

Broadcast live each week, this brandnew British version brings the highwire, anythingcanhappen energy audiences expect from SNL — reimagined through a distinctly British lens.

Written, rehearsed and performed in the week of broadcast, preserving SNL’s famously fastturnaround creative process. Each show is staged in front of a live studio audience, every episode features an opening monologue, topical sketches, live music, and a UK adaptation of SNL’s iconic satirical news segment, Weekend Update.

Together, this first wave of hosts, musical guests and cast members marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for the globally acclaimed SNL franchise — blending its storied legacy with a fresh generation of British comedy voices.

SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW. Lorne Michaels is executive producing, James Longman will serve as Lead Producer, Liz Clare as Director and Daran Jonno Johnson takes on the role of Head Writer. UTAS UK Productions is overseen by Managing Director Helen Kruger Bratt. Shanna Baynard will serve as Executive in Charge of Production; Andy Charles Smith is the Lead Producer for UTAS UK Productions alongside Sam Salter, Production Executive.
