How can a dream home turn into a living nightmare? Wall to Wall is an unpredictable thriller that follows the story of Woo-sung, a man who finally saves up enough to buy an apartment — only to have it turn into a nightmare filled with financial ruin and mysterious noises from neighboring floors. Premiering on July 18, the film’s Korean title translates to 84 Square Meter , referring to the most common apartment size in South Korea.
In the teaser trailer, we meet Woo-sung, who has finally secured his dream home — the standard Korean84-square-meter apartment — by pooling funds from several sources. Filled with hope, he looks forward to life as a proud homeowner. But his happiness is short-lived as strange noises begin echoing through the apartment complex each night, plunging him into distress. The trailer also introduces Woo-sung’s neighbors: Eun-hwa, the resident representative with a cynical smile, and Jin-ho, a suspicious upstairs neighbor searching for the source of noise. Their unsettling presence sparks curiosity about what might unfold in the apartment, as tensions over the noises between the floors have reached a boiling point.
Building on the success of his previous film Unlocked , director Kim Tae-joon returns with his second thriller, once again capturing the relatable horrors of everyday life. With a painfully relatable character and locally familiar setting of an 84-square-meter apartment, the mystery of untraceable noises between floors sets the stage for suspense filled with unpredictable twists.
With standout performances from Kang Ha-neul, Yeom Hye-ran, and Seo Hyun-woo, Wall to Wall premieres on July 18, only on Netflix.
